MOVIE REVIEW
Ratatouille: on DVD
Pixar Animation/Buena Vista
DVD Review by Amy Steele
Remy [voiced by King of Queen's Patton Oswalt] has the nose and palette of a gourmet. Unfortunately, he's a rat and should be picking through garbage and not concocting savory dishes to the distress of his family. Remy dreams of another destiny as he steals food from a woman's kitchen while catching glimpses of Chef Gusteau who says, "Anyone can cook." After being upended from his home base, Remy finds himself in Paris and in his fantasy kitchen. It's a dream come true for this can-do rat as he befriends Linguini, a goofy naive guy, and coaches him [in a cute, creative manner] to cook like a star.
With beautifully detailed views of Paris, an inspirational story and strong characters, Ratatouille is a treat!
