MUSIC REVIEW
Band: Finn Brothers
Album: "Everyone is Here"
Label: Nettwerk Records
Take the Finn Brothers out of Crowded House and the result: a introspective, jangly, acoustic and sometimes completely stripped down set of songs.
On their own, the brothers explore a less pop-infused musical identity and embrace realism, hopefulness and a bit of the sad.
An adult album in all respects, Everyone is Here, is warm and heartfelt. The for-better-or-worse theme is examined in "Won't Give In," things turn almost exuberant and giddy with "Luckiest Man Alive": "Man finds love . . . someone true" the headline, while pondering the afterlife and belonging, the Finn Brothers turn out the searching "Disembodied Voices."
Everyone is Here is a golden pick for music with which to spend a lazy Sunday.
