Savannah Hinson at only 15 is a two-time cancer survivor who is paralyzed from the waste down. Hers is a story of strength, courage and faith. Although her doctors say otherwise, she is determined to walk again.
For years she was active in cheerleading, gymnastics and various sports, until she had to undergo surgery to correct a spinal curvature. During the surgery there were complications, and she was left without the ability to move or feel her legs.
She spent the last year learning how to maneuver in her new life, and inspiring those around her with her determination.
The medical expenses have been a huge burden on her family, but a local resident has begun a national campaign to raise money to help Savannah. The funds will allow her to continue treatment and purchase a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
