A World-Class Adventure Just 75 Miles from L.A.!
NAVITAT is a world-class zip line-canopy tour located in Southern California's beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. Easily accessible and just 75 miles (or about 90 minutes) northeast of Los Angeles, adjacent to Mountain High Ski Resort, the canopy tour course is entirely tree-based and features 10 zip lines ranging from 200 to 1,500 feet in length - including one that sends guests soaring 300 feet above the canyon floor. The site is home to massive conifer trees, abundant wildlife and long-range views of the San Bernardino Mountains and the Mojave Dessert. NAVITAT tours last approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
With its proximity to L.A. and the media capital of the world, NAVITAT also is ideal for unique film and commercial shoots. The stunning setting was the perfect location for GEICO's recent commercial featuring Maxwell the Pig. In the commercial, Maxwell is zip lining through NAVITAT's beautiful canopied forest, all the while screeching his trademark "Weeeeee!" CLICK TO VIEW COMMERCIAL.
And for a little zaniness, The Conan O'Brien show filmed a creative and hilarious sketch featuring actors dressed as famous authors zipping through the NAVITAT course while reading passages from their works. What a great combination of adventure and comedy! CLICK TO VIEW SKETCH.
Current NAVITAT tour rates are $109 per adult and $99 per youth (under age 18). Groups of 8 or more receive a 10% discount and active military members and their immediate family (spouse and children only) also receive a 10% discount. Victor Valley residents receive a 25% discount on Tuesday tours. NAVITAT also offers $20 dollars off weekday tours for Mountain High Season Pass Holders. Each NAVITAT tour accommodates 8 participants maximum; NAVITAT will operate tours from March 31, 2012 through November 30, 2012.
NAVITAT's Wrightwood tour is the company's second location. The original tour is near Asheville, N.C., in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and was called "One of 10 Great Ziplines in the US" in 2010 by USA TODAY. For more information, please visit www.navitat.com.
