With the premiere of its lounge Glow and recent design renovations, the Marriott Marina del Rey has totally changed the conventional perception of the hotel's brand. The 370-room hotel has gone boutique with the earth-tone redesign of its lobby and the addition of sensual effects throughout - downbeat tempos, glowing candles, the subtle aroma of bergamot and the addition of Glow. This open-air lounge features fire pits, waterfall fixtures, radiating amber-hued lamps and a tented gazebo.
A new lounge, located in the hotel lobby, boasts sophisticated design that appeals to style-savvy locals in this beach-loving community. "The vision created an environment that provides customers with an experience that activates every one of the human senses - sight, smell, sound, taste, and feel," says David Siguaw, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Marriott Marina del Rey. "It has a contemporary design to please the eye, a distinctive scent to form lasting memories, music to suit the mood, culinary options to please every palate, and smooth textures to arouse the sense of touch".
Like other familiar Hollywood hotspot's, Glow provides premium bottle service, private cabanas, renowned DJ's, and a growing clientele of celebrities and trend-setters. Siguaw states, "Our motivation was to design a venue that is attractive to clientele looking to indulge in hip, upscale nightlife, entertainment, dining and ocean activities without the pretentious Hollywood attitude."
