CALL FOR ENTRIES
The music industry has never had an exclusive opportunity to promote itself in the largest entertainment market in the world.... Los Angeles.
Beginning on May 1, 2012, it will when The Hollywood International Music Festival kicks off a six day event offering music lovers the opportunity to hear and view music in eleven genres... Latin, Rock/Alternative, Jazz/Blues Hip Hop/Rap, Dance/Pop, Reggae, Urban, R&B/Funk, Country, Gospel and Classical.
Feature films and Documentaries about music are also welcomed.
Artists and bands, both signed and unsigned as well as independent labels are urged to submit CD's and Music Videos that will be grouped by genre and presented to music fans.
CD's will be put on "play-lists" and spun by DJ's at listening parties hosted by many of Hollywood's historic and popular clubs. Listeners will be given the opportunity to vote on each entry with awards to be presented in each genre at the Festival's Closing Night Gala.
Music Videos and Features will also be categorized and audiences will view them at venues with large screens - both theatres and clubs. Awards for "Best of the Fest" will also be presented.
Winners in all genres will also be featured in the Festival wrap-up issue of IN Hollywood Magazine.
All entries will be promoted in the Official Program and in the Festival's media partners publication IN Hollywood Magazine and on its website inmag.com.
During the Festival CD's, Videos and other merchandise will be available for sale at the official Festival Store.
A portion of all proceeds of the festival will benefit Cancer Research through the National Program - Stand Up to Cancer.
The HIMF will include a wide variety of industry workshops and seminars, product exhibits and demos, live showcases, Red Carpet and VIP ONLY events and, of course, parties!
Unsigned artists and groups will have opportunities to present and promote their work to representatives of labels, both large and small.
