SEXY BEAST™ Pampering Man's Best Friend
The secret to teaching the old beauty industry some new tricks was right under one woman's nose.
Renée Ryan loved her boxer Austin, but even this fashion savvy pup needed a little refresher between shampoos. He was a rescue, and with a past of abuse and broken trust, it was difficult to get him to a groomer. Ryan came up short on many a shopping trip, finding nothing to care for Austin's coat between washes.
Ryan combined her ten years of experience in the beauty industry and love of pets to create Sexy Beast™, a luxury line of canine fragrance and styling products. She assembled an elite team including Karim Rashid to work on the modern product design, a former Kiehl's chemist to insure only quality plant-based ingredients were used and Swiss fragrance house Givaudan to create the signature scent.
Throughout the process, Ryan kept the interest of her four-legged customers in her heart, making sure all of the products used were 100% safe, 100% vegan, paraben-free and hypo-allergenic. Approved by dogs and dog owners alike!
Sexy Beast™ first launched in 2006 at the iconic Studio at Fred Segal in Los Angeles. The line can be sniffed out in specialty boutiques across America and makes its international debut at Harrods in London this holiday season. Having grown into couture accessories, grooming supplies, the Jet Set Kit, and limited edition holiday items, Spot's stocking can be filled with the entire Sexy Beast™ collection.
The success of Sexy Beast™ relies on the undeniable love between human and dog. Once in an abused home, Sexy Beast™ spokesman Austin now oversees the New York City offices of the line that he inspired. On his Christmas list this year? Swarovski emblazoned doggie tee, Light Powder - anything to make his tail wag.
